10 game-changing technology unveiled at CES 2026 so far

January 7, 2026 CES 2026 kicked off with a bang on Jan. 6. It’s been two days of the four-day annual tech fair and companies have already unveiled some of the most exciting and innovative tech of the year. From AI-powered gaming systems to futuristic robots, the event has already showcased some jaw-dropping advancements. Here are some of the key highlights:

1. Lenovo’s rollable gaming laptop

Lenovo has introduced a concept gaming laptop with a rollable OLED display, transforming from a standard 16:9 aspect ratio to a 21:9 or even a 24:9 display. This prototype offers a glimpse into the future of portable gaming but is expected to come with a hefty price tag if it ever hits the market. Still on Lenovo, there was also development with the Legion Go 2, which now comes with SteamOS. Priced at $1,199, the updated handheld gaming device promises to provide a better user experience compared to the earlier Windows 11 version.

2. Nvidia’s DLSS multi-frame generation gets an upgrade

Nvidia’s DLSS technology continues to impress, now offering up to 6x frame generation with its DLSS 4.5. This advancement will significantly boost gaming performance, enabling smoother visuals and better overall performance.

3. AMD’s Latest Ryzen processor

AMD has unveiled the Ryzen 7 9850X3D, a slight upgrade to its popular 9800X3D processor. While the increase in clock speed is minimal, the 9850X3D remains a great option for gamers looking to upgrade their rigs without waiting for a next-gen release.

4. Intel’s handheld gaming PC processor

Intel announced its new Panther Lake processor (also known as the Intel Core Ultra Series 3), designed specifically for handheld gaming PCs. This move marks Intel’s first foray into the handheld gaming market, directly competing with AMD’s successful Z-series processors. During the company’s keynote address at the conference, CEO Lip Bu Tan described the launch as “We’ve overdelivered.”

5. Razer’s foray into AI

Known for its gaming peripherals, Razer has shifted gears with a suite of AI-powered products. A standout is their gaming headset with cameras, allowing users to interact with AI-driven applications, such as asking an LLM about things on the screen. Inquiries can be game-related or something else entirely.

6. Dual-screen laptop redesign by Asus

The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo has been redesigned for CES 2026. Instead of a small secondary screen above the keyboard, the new design features two screens that open like a Nintendo DS. This way, there is more display space without compromising portability.

7. Star Wars and Lego’s new interactive experience

Lego announced its Smart Play platform with sensors in new smart bricks, allowing users to create interactive experiences. The new Star Wars collaboration will enable fans to build their own space battles and lightsaber duels with these smart bricks.

8. LG’s humanoid household robot

After a press release hinting at its showcase, LG gave the public a look at a humanoid robot designed to assist with household chores, such as folding laundry and fetching food. While still in the early stages, as it struggled with folding a towel, the robot made one of the most dramatic reveals so far at CES 2026.

9. Asus & Xreal’s ultra-fast gaming glasses

Asus and Xreal are collaborating on the ROG Xreal R1 gaming glasses, offering a 1080p display at 240Hz. These glasses aim to replace traditional gaming displays with a lightweight, wearable solution.

10. Uber’s luxurious robotaxi

Uber unveiled its robotaxi designed in collaboration with Lucid Motors and Nuro. Introduced as the most luxurious robotaxi yet, the service features 360-degree cameras, sensors and customizable in-cabin experiences. With testing beginning in San Francisco, Uber plans to launch it later in the year.
