Russian News Outlet RT To Commence Broadcast On Rumble

March 4, 2022

Russian state-controlled news outlet, RT has announced plans to start broadcasting on Rumble.

The action which will start on Thursday will help the media outlet bypass sanctions put in place by tech platforms.

Following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, tech platforms imposed sanctions that restricted access to RT news and resources.

The action from tech platforms follows the Ukrainian government’s outcry for help and clamor to prevent the spread of Russia’s propaganda.

Meta demoted content from Russian state-controlled media outlets’ Facebook pages and Instagram accounts, Google has prevented the Russian news platforms from making money through ads.

Rumble is a YouTube-like video site that is popular among U.S. conservatives. The platform will be used by Trump Media and Technology Group to deliver video and streaming for Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social.
