Apple’s AR glasses launch could be delayed until 2025 or 2026

November 8, 2022

According to Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong International Tech Research, Apple has reportedly delayed the release of the long-rumored augmented-reality glasses until 2025 or 2026. However, the company is expected to launch the AR/VR headset in 2023, and Apple is on track to achieve that goal, according to the report.

According to the report, Apple was forced to postpone the launch of its device due to design problems, but the report does not mention the exact design problem that the company had to contend with.

Apple Glasses could run on a proprietary operating system, which was first introduced in the final version of iOS 13. The augmented reality framework is mentioned several times in code and text documents. According to Kuo, Apple Glasses will take electronics from the age of “visible computing” to the age of “invisible computing.” Currently, there is “no visibility” for contact lenses, and it is not a guaranteed product that Apple will develop.

Apple insists on making Augmented Reality (AR) a top priority. CEO Tim Cook believes that this technology is the next big thing that will change everything. In a recent interview with Dutch media company Bright, he described augmented reality as a “profound technology” that will influence everything.

Apple currently seems to be delaying the release of AR devices, but some devices, such as the iPhone, already contain AR elements. Users will have to wait for the company’s devices to hit the market to learn more about what it has to offer.

Apple has not yet responded to the alleged delay.
