McKinsey partners Cohere to bring AI to enterprise clients

July 19, 2023

McKinsey, a global consulting firm, has partnered with Cohere, a generative AI startup, to bring AI solutions to enterprise clients. This is the first partnership with a large language model provider that McKinsey has announced.

Cohere’s generative AI technology can be used to improve customer engagement, automate workflows, and increase internal efficiency. McKinsey said it is working with Cohere to build customized solutions for its clients.

Senior Partner Ben Ellencweig expressed McKinsey’s rationale for choosing Cohere founded by former AI researchers from Google’s Alphabet, citing their top-notch solutions that align with clients’ priorities such as cost management, intellectual property protection, and consumer privacy.

By working together, the two companies aim to provide tailored AI solutions to enhance customer engagement and streamline workflow automation for their clients. Moreover, McKinsey plans to leverage Cohere’s expertise to improve its internal efficiency and knowledge management system.

The two companies have already worked together to serve companies across industries, from financial services to retail. Cohere has also partnered with Oracle to embed its technology in Oracle’s products.
