SolarWinds Says Hack Cost at Least $18 Million

April 14, 2021

SolarWinds Corp. spent between $18 million and $19 million in the first quarter of 2021 to investigate and fix the “cyber incident.”

This refers to the consequences of a series of intrusions allegedly carried out by Russian hackers on the US government and other private companies after the hackers gained access to an infiltrated version of the SolarWinds Orion network management tool.

It has since hired cybersecurity firm Crowdstrike Holdings Inc and professional services firm KPMG to investigate the break-ins.
