Teams Users Get Access To Dynamics 365 Data License Free

July 16, 2021

Microsoft Teams users can now access Dynamics 365 data without needing licenses from the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform.

Dynamics 365 users can invite anyone in the organization to view customer records within the flow of a Teams channel or chat.

According to Jared Spataro, CRM data can now be shared among more employees, removing the “license tax” that had prevented customers from using integration in the past, allowing sales and customer service workers to interact with the CRM tool.

Microsoft also explained that Dynamics users will be able to add a team meeting when creating an appointment while capturing and saving notes from team meetings for later access.

This is made available in the timeline of the Dynamics records.

This latest partnership between the two programs is a step forward for Microsoft as they seek to strengthen its positions and compete with Slack and Salesforce once the deal goes through.
