Apple Sells Standalone Magic Keyboard With Touch ID At $149

Apple has begun selling its Magic Keyboard with Touch ID as a standalone purchase, including a refreshed version without Touch ID.

The new Magic Keyboard comes with built-in biometrics with or without Numpad and the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID version goes for $149. The Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad goes for $179.

The built-in fingerprint reader makes it easy to authenticate logins, Apple Pay purchases and more.

Also included in the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID version is the new braided Lightning to USB-C, which is only compatible with M1 Macs such as M1 iMac, M1 MacBook Air, Pro and Mac mini.

Using comparability techniques, consumers may opt for the non-touch ID version, which retails for $99.
