Amazon has released its latest Fire tablet, the $229.99 Fire Max 11 tablet, which touts a 50% improvement in speed over Amazon’s current fastest tablet model.

It boasts an aluminum body, an 8-core MediaTek CPU, and an 11-inch display with a resolution of 2000-by-1200 pixels. Pre-orders for the Fire Max 11 are already open, with shipments beginning next month.

The Fire Max 11 tablet, with a 5:3 aspect ratio and an aluminum frame architecture, outperforms its predecessors in terms of durability. The tablet is powered by an octa-core MediaTek CPU and 4GB of RAM, allowing for great performance. The Fire Max tablet has a battery life of up to 14 hours, according to Amazon, and it comes with a 9W USB 2.0 charger that charges the device in 4.2 hours. Users may also purchase a second 15W charger, which reduces charging time to 3.5 hours.

The Fire Max 11 tablet supports video chats with an 8-megapixel camera on both the front and back. Furthermore, Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity enables users to connect wireless headphones, and the tablet has twin speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility for an immersive movie experience.

Amazon is also releasing a keyboard cover that attaches magnetically through pogo pins, as well as a pen, to go with the tablet. Customers who purchase both gadgets in addition to the Fire Max tablet may get the entire bundle for $329.99.
