Android 12 Beta 3 Revamps The Pixel Setup Experience

July 15, 2021

Google is sprucing up the setup experience on Pixel phones via the Android 12 Beta 3.

In addition to the visual makeover, Google has also put another emphasis on teaching navigation gestures, with a long tutorial on how to use the gestures.

This part may not be entirely new, but it is more progressed now than in previous releases.

Google has also added an interesting little Easter egg to the first page.

The shapes that users see on the welcome screen move around the screen, and when they hit the sides of the display there is a very subtle vibration.

This is just the latest in a long list of examples in which Google is touting the tactile experience it has offered on the Pixel 4, so it could be an indication that the Pixel 6 could further enhance that experience.
