However, the problems don’t stop there; some users have seen their device spontaneously rebooting, displaying a “Factory Data Reset” message. Accepting this means any data not backed up will be irretrievably lost. Declining the message, on the other hand, exposes the device to a relentless boot loop, incessantly flashing “Pixel Is Starting.”
Google is aware of the issue and is working on an OTA (Over The Air) update to rectify the situation. While awaiting the release of the patch, Google recommends users to consider two immediate options. Firstly, performing a factory reset which will erase all device storage, or alternatively, requesting a test update by filling out a form, with the update arriving within 24 hours. The test update may take up to two hours to complete.
