Apple Extends Independent Repair Provider Program

March 30, 2021

Apple’s Independent Repair Provider program launched in the United States in August 2019 gives small repair businesses access to Apple-genuine parts, training, and resources as Apple authorized service providers. In its recent statement, Apple announced that it will be extending the program to over 200 new countries.

While there is no cost to join the Independent Repair Provider program, all Repair providers need to commit to having an Apple-certified technician perform the repair. The process of certification is simple and free of charge and a qualifying repair provider will then be able to purchase genuine Apple parts and tools at the same price as AASP’s and receive free access to training, repair manuals, and diagnostics.
