Apple Goes Throwback With Their New MacBook Pros

October 19, 2021

Apple’s new MacBook Pros with the Apple Silicon M1 Pro and M1 Max chips is coming back in time to adopt some features that users are clamoring for, while doing away with some other designs that many disapprove of.

One of the features removed by Apple is the Touch Bar, which the company has replaced with a series of physical buttons, just like earlier versions. Apple also brought back the magnetic charging system under the name MagSafe.

In addition, the new MacBook Pro offers users more ports to connect to. In addition to MagSafe 3, users now have access to three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an SDXC card reader, an HDML port and a headphone jack.

Other features include its 14.2-inch 120Hz ProMotion Mini LED display, which Apple calls the “Liquid Retina Pro XDR.” Although it has slimmer bezels than the previous generation, it has a notch that houses a 1080p webcam without Apple’s Face ID system.

The new MacBook Pro has 16GB of RAM, although users can upgrade to 32GB with the M1 Pro or 64GB with the M1 Max.
