Apple Releases Major Updates For iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Mac

July 22, 2022

Apple has released essential updates for all of its products, including iPhones, iPads, Apple Watch, Macs and even Apple TV.

Apple released the iOS 15.6 update for iPhone and iPadOS 15.6 for iPad. WatchOS 8.7 update was released for the Apple Watch. In the WatchOS update, Apple fixed bugs and over two dozen important security updates.

For the iOS update, TV now adds the option to restart and pause, rewind, or quickly rewind an already running live sports game. It also fixed an issue where settings may still indicate that the storage device is full even when it is available.

Other issues fixed in the latest iOS updates include the issue that may cause braille devices to slow down or stop responding when navigating text in Mail, and another problem in Safari, where a tab may revert back to a previous page.

Although the release notes for iOS update highlight four patches, security advisories show that over three dozen patches have been implemented for the update, so it is important that users install it.

Apple has also released a TVOS 15.6 update for Apple TV users that provides over two dozen security updates and “general performance and stability improvements.”

Due to the volume of security fixes, it is important that users update their device as soon as possible.
