Apple announced some changes during the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference for software developers as it plans to improve user privacy and keep consumer data out of the hands of other companies.

Many of Apple’s new features, including enhanced video conferencing and virtual storage of government credentials on iPhones, will allow users to protect data.

While users entrust their information to Apple, in most cases Apple itself will not be able to see all the information.

One example is the updated paid iCloud storage version, which includes a service that disguises users browsing habits across all platforms, including Apple, and another feature that allows users to hide their email addresses.

Apple users will also be able to see when individual apps request to access features like the camera and phone gallery, plus which third parties they have connected with in the last seven days.
