Apple to release 15-inch MacBook Air

April 25, 2023

Following repeated leaks from developer logs, Apple is expected to announce the launching of a larger MacBook Air soon but will still make use of last year’s M2 chipsets.

The 15-inch MacBook Air is set to be presented in June at the Worldwide Developer Conference. However, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst. The new laptop may not be precisely what consumers were hoping for, as it will have two alternatives. Users will only be able to locate them while purchasing them in one of the minor options. This implies that buyers will not be able to select which Apple Silicon family they wish to purchase.

The M2 chipsets, according to speculations, are pretty fantastic, especially when coupled with a previously unheard-of screen size. However, there are concerns that it will fall short of macOS laptop users’ long-term expectations. Previously, Apple’s consumer MacBook Air notebooks were only available in three sizes: “small,” “extra small,” and “tiny.” Previously, 11-inch and 12-inch MacBooks were available.

The M2 chipset outperforms rivals’ x86-based chipsets in terms of performance and battery life, and it operates cooler than x86-based chipsets from Intel and AMD. Furthermore, the hardware is tightly integrated with macOS in a level that Windows cannot match. However, the release of a 15-inch MacBook Air shows that Apple has finally decided to stop being stubborn and finally offer a large MacBook Air.
