Aquaer Engineers Extract Drinking Water From Thin Air

Aquaer, a Spanish company, has recently set up a system to extract drinking water from thin air, which is essential for people in dry regions and refugee camps where there is insufficient access to clean drinking water.

The machine uses electricity to cool the air until it condenses into water, achieving the same effect as condensation water in air conditioners.

This system differs from other water generators that use similar technology and require ambient humidity and low temperature for effective operation.

Invented by 82-year-old engineer Enrique Veiga, this machine operates at temperatures of up to 40 degrees Celsius and processes humidity between 10 and 15%.

The devices manufactured by Veiga’s company already provide clean, safe water to communities in Namibia and a Lebanese refugee camp.
