Over 74,000 outage reports were logged on DownDetector, with the majority of issues reported in the early hours of Thursday. The outage affected not only AT&T’s wireless services but also briefly impacted the ability of customers to reach emergency services.
Other carriers like Verizon and T-Mobile experienced minimal disruptions, attributing reports of their own network outages to difficulties connecting with AT&T customers. T
he FCC is actively investigating the outage, emphasizing the importance of maintaining network reliability, especially in relation to emergency services.
