Starting today I’m taking a few weeks off to enjoy the summer, so this will be a short podcast:
A new ransomware as a service group has emerged. According to researchers at Group-IB it’s called Eldorado. It offers affiliates two versions: One for Windows, and the other for Linux systems.
Despite a warning issued on June 25th, website administrators are still slow in deleting a malicious JavaScript library called Polyfill.io from their code. Researchers at Censys said that as of last Tuesday there were still over 380,000 hosts with the script.
And Ticketmaster says there’s no truth to hacker claims to have access to working ticket barcodes for several upcoming Taylor Swift concerts in the U.S. The company told The Record that its barcodes for tickets automatically change every few seconds and can’t be copied. A hacker is trying to extort Tickmaster after a data theft.
As I said, I’m taking a break from podcasting for the next two weeks. I’ll be back Monday, July 22nd.
