Dell Unveils New Security Features, Releases Study Findings

September 10, 2021

Dell has recently introduced several new products to offer a new and unique way to protect their VMWare virtual machine.

These include the Dell EMC PowerProtect Data Manager, which adds Transparent Snapshots to organizations and helps organizations manage multiple data protection devices on an exabyte scale.

Additionally, Dell has announced a Managed Services for Cyber Recovery Solution, which helps companies mitigate risk by ensuring that Dell experts manage daily cyber recovery operations and support recovery activities.

The features have been introduced according to the findings of the 2021 Global Data Protection Index which shows that companies face a variety of privacy challenges spurred by the threat of ransomware and the use of new technologies.

The study also found that organizations manage more than ten times as much data as five years ago.

According to Rob Emsley, Director of Product Marketing and Privacy at Dell, Dell introduced “new software and services to accelerate VM backup data availability, simplify management of large data sets and maintain business continuity while alleviating dependencies on day-to-day cyber recovery operations.”
