Docker Launches New Business Plan With Changes

September 1, 2021

Docker is introducing a new product subscription called Docker Business, aimed primarily at companies that use Dockers on a large scale for application development.

Some of the product features that will be behind the paywall include secure software supply chain management, single sign-on, container registry access controls and a number of other features.

In addition, Docker is making changes to its Docker Subscription Service Agreement, including important changes to Docker Desktop.

While Docker Desktop will remain free for small businesses with fewer than 250 employees and an annual turnover of less than $10 million, those wishing to use Docker for personal, educational or non-commercial open-source projects will need a paid subscription starting at $5 per month for professional use.
