Eve, a subsidiary of Brazil’s Embraer, has announced the signing of letters of intent with Voar Aviation, Nordic Aviation, and Wideroe Zero for the sale of its innovative “flying car.”
A Brazilian business, Voar Aviation, has contracted to buy 70 electric vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs). While Nordic Aviation has decided to buy 30 eVTOLs, And Wideroe Zero, A Norwegian firm will be buying 50 eVTOLs.
“This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our mission to revolutionize urban transportation and shape the future of Urban Air Mobility. By combining our expertise and leveraging Voar’s established infrastructure, we aim to accelerate the adoption of eVTOL technology and create a sustainable, integrated and complete ecosystem for urban air travel,” said Andre Stein, Co-CEO of Eve.
Voar Aviation will use eVTOLs throughout Brazil’s major metropolitan regions and famous tourist locations such as Sao Paulo, Florianopolis, and Salvador under the new agreements. Nordic Aviation intends to lease 15 eVTOLs to fleet operators, with a further 15 aircraft available as options. Meanwhile, Wideroe Zero is looking to expand its “flying car” services into Scandinavia.
“This partnership reinforces that Voar is ready to open the doors to future air mobility and contribute the necessary infrastructure to the operation of this new way of transportation,” said Alessandra Abrão, CEO of Voar.
Eve, which has just finished wind tunnel testing for its future automobile and has a backlog of roughly 2,800 units, expects to launch and begin commercial operations in 2026.
