Former NBCUniversal executive Joe Benarroch joins Twitter

June 5, 2023

Twitter has announced the addition of Joe Benarroch, a former NBCUniversal executive, to its staff.

Benarroch expressed his excitement, saying that he is looking forward to working with the Twitter team to “build Twitter 2.0 together.” This news comes shortly after Linda Yaccarino’s appointment as Twitter’s new CEO in May. Yaccarino, who formerly worked at NBC, recruited her close advisor Joe Benarroch and welcomed him on Twitter, writing, “Welcome to the flock, @benarroch_joe! “From one bird to another.”

Benarroch held the post of Executive Vice President of Communications, Global Advertising, and Partnerships at NBCUniversal. He has already updated his LinkedIn profile to reflect his new position in Twitter’s New York headquarters. This hiring comes at a time when Twitter is losing numerous leaders, heightening the problems Yaccarino will confront as CEO.

Prior to joining NBCUniversal, Benarroch worked at Facebook for six years and eight months as the Director of Communications, SMB, and International Ads. Throughout his career, he has worked with notable organizations like as IPG, Discover, Starcom, and Leo Burnett.
