Hiring Rates To Surge In The Third Quarter, Says Survey

July 9, 2021

West Monroe’s survey reveals that 77% of executives plan to hire more employees in the third quarter.

The business and technology consulting firm released its report with 150 U.S. executives outlining their hiring expectations.

The survey asked respondents about the biggest hiring challenges.

51% said that there were not enough people with the right skills and 16% said that the competitive industry was making it difficult to recruit potential employees.

The respondents were also asked about digitizing operating models.

More than half of them said they wanted to invest in automated and data-driven management. 53% of them are using cloud-based platforms to digitize operating models.

According to Mike Hughes, managing partner, advisory and transformation at West Monroe, an increase in hiring will have impacts and bring challenges as organizations are slowly starting to return to the office and “pivot toward their hybrid work models.”
