In-person Work Deemed ‘Essential’ By Apple’s VP Of Retail

June 30, 2021

Deirdre O’Brien, senior VP of retail and people at Apple, reiterated the company’s hybrid work plan in an internal video obtained by The Verge, which requires employees to work in person at least three days a week.

The confirmation comes after a group of people took a stand against the company’s decision to let its employees return to work.

While O’Brien explained that the products and services Apple has introduced in the past have all been achieved through in-person collaborations, she stressed that the company believes that “in-person collaboration is essential to our culture and our future.”
