LinkedIn Developing Audio Networking Similar To Clubhouse

March 31, 2021

LinkedIn recently announced that it is testing a social audio experience in its app that will allow creators of its network to connect with their community.

While most audio networking features are mainly associated with social profiles, LinkedIn announces that its audio networking features will be different because they will be linked to users “professional identities.

According to LinkedIn, the development of an audio-based network came about because its members and creatives demanded more opportunities to communicate on its platform.

Suzi Owens, a spokeswoman for LinkedIn, said: “We’re seeing nearly 50% growth in conversations on LinkedIn reflected in stories, video shares, and posts on the platform. We’re doing some early tests to create a unique audio experience connected to your professional identity. And, we’re looking at how we can bring audio to other parts of LinkedIn such as events and groups, to give our members even more ways to connect to their community.”
