Mexican Billionaire Might Use Bitcoin In His Bank

Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas Pliego said that his banking business could start using bitcoin, becoming the first Mexican bank to accept the cryptocurrency.

According to Forbes, Salinas, who is considered the third richest man in Mexico with an estimated family wealth of $15.8 billion, owns Banco Azteca, one of Mexico’s largest banks.

Salinas said he had invested about 10% of his liquid portfolio in bitcoin and encouraged all investors to study cryptocurrencies and their future.

Bitcoin surged 7.5% on Sunday to trade at $34,500.
