The American multinational technology company Microsoft Corporation has called on users to select the new standard font for its Office font.
It is the first time in 15 years that the company has changed its Office font as it moves away from the Calibri font. Although Microsoft has more than 700 options in Word, it has reportedly commissioned five new customs for Office.
In the update shared on Twitter, users will be able to choose between Tenorite, Bierstadt, Skeena, Seaford and Grandview fonts.
According to reports, Microsoft will release the fonts in Microsoft 365 for users to try out before choosing a new standard.
Feedback and surveys are part of how the company will select the winner. While all fonts will continue to be available in Microsoft’s font menu, the tech giant announced in a statement that the new font will appear in Microsoft Office apps next year.
