Microsoft Launches Its Personalized News Feed Service

September 8, 2021

On Tuesday, Microsoft released its personalized news reading experience called Microsoft Start that will be integrated with other Microsoft products such as Windows 10, 11 and Microsoft Edge web browser.

It will also be available as a website as well as a mobile app.

Although the product builds on the company’s legacy with online and mobile consumer services such as MSN and Microsoft News, the company noted that Microsoft Start’s feed will combine content from news publishers in a way that is tailored to the individual interests of users.

To use Microsoft Start, users are advised to either visit MicrosoftStart.com, which works on both Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, or download the Microsoft Start mobile app for Android or iOS.

Microsoft Start will allow the company to compete with news feeds from Apple, Google and third-party apps such as Flipboard.

Microsoft noted that Microsoft Start will build on the company’s online services, including MSN, which mainly summarizes news from sources.
