The hype around Windows 11 continues, which will soon be available for free to existing Windows 10 users for a limited time.

Microsoft has not yet released the exact expiry date of its free update offering but has revealed new hardware requirements for Intel and Arm CPUs, 4 GB of memory and 64 GB of storage, and TPM version 2.0.

If you want to try Windows 11 before its official release, you can also join the Windows Insider program, where testers may provide direct feedback to Microsoft engineers working on the project. Testers need a copy of Windows 10 on a PC and must be authorized as an administrator.

Windows 11 is expected to make some major changes to the operating system.

Improved widgets are an important component of the new operating system, with Microsoft opting to remove Windows 8-era live tiles, as well as removing the Windows 10 timeline feature and cross-device desktop wallpaper.
