December 11, 2023 MindPortal has made a significant breakthrough in brain-computer interface technology by developing a non-invasive method for telepathic interaction with ChatGPT. This cutting-edge innovation enables users to formulate sentences mentally and directly communicate them to ChatGPT, representing a major leap in human-AI interaction.

Operating from London and San Francisco, MindPortal, a leader in non-invasive brain-computer interfaces, unveiled its optical brain-computer interface on December 8, 2023. This technology allows users to seamlessly engage with ChatGPT through thought-based speech. The project, backed by prominent investors such as Kleiner Perkins, 7percent Ventures, Learn Capital, Y Combinator, and notable figures like Luke Iseman, Julie Zhuo, Dan Siroker, and James Park, was developed by an elite scientific team from Oxford University, Cambridge University, Imperial College London, and advisors from DARPA.

Ekram Alam, the CEO and Co-Founder of MindPortal, emphasized the groundbreaking nature of this development, saying, “We have achieved telepathic communication between humans and AI for the first time.” The technology converts thoughts into text, enabling a real-time conversation with ChatGPT, including responses to follow-up questions.

MindPortal’s technology boasts several key innovations:

– Advanced AI systems that interpret and translate brain activity associated with thought into spoken language.
– The first use of optical sensors in a non-invasive device to interpret complex human language.
– The unique ability to convert thought-based speech into text without requiring any physical speech movement or sub-vocalization.
– A pioneering approach to direct brain-interface communication with a large language model AI, setting a new benchmark in human-AI interaction.
– Capability to decode entire sentences in real-time, moving beyond single words, without needing additional processing.

Jack Baber, the CTO and Co-Founder of MindPortal, underscored the technology’s reliability and practicality, highlighting its role in shaping a future where humans and AI coexist harmoniously.
