Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti Price Reduced by $1,000

August 8, 2022

EVGA has lowered the price of its base RTX 3090 Ti graphics card to $1,000 below MSRP in the U.S.

The price drop was discovered by a Twitter user named ChasersFrame, who posted a recommended retail price of $2,150, which is now $1,150 in the card maker’s online store.

The Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 is one of the most powerful graphics cards with stunning features such as 8k gaming performance, 3D rendering and encoding performance.

However, the Nvidia RTX 3090 Ti offers better performance compared to the Nvidia RTX 3090. The former features 24GB GDDR6X VRAM with a higher clock speed, boosting up to 1.86GHz. The main difference is that the RTX 3090 Ti has two additional streaming multiprocessors, each with an additional 128 CUDA cores, one RT core and four Tensor Cores.

This means the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti has 10,752 CUDA cores, making it an absolute powerhouse of a graphics card.

While this represents a 2.5% increase in core power, it remains significant in conjunction with the upgrade, which marks a huge increase in the graphics card’s power budget to 450W over the 350W TGP of the RTX 3090.

Like the rest of the RTX 3000 series graphics cards, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 Ti is built in the graphics architecture of Nvidia Ampere. For experts, upgrading from an RTX 3080 Ti or RTX 3090 to an RTX 3090 Ti is not a big upgrade.
