Play Store Apps To Have A Privacy Policy In 2022

July 29, 2021

Google announced the development of a new safety section that will mandate app developers to provide clear information about the privacy and security of their respective apps.

It will ensure that detailed information is provided on how users’ data is used and accessed, as well as information on whether data collection is essential for an app to work or not.

According to Google, it will begin accepting app security information in October, with a final deadline set for the second quarter of 2022.

This latest step is part of the ongoing changes to improve the security and transparency of apps in the Play Store.

All these details will be available in all apps on the Google Play Store by 2022, so users can be informed of an app’s privacy and security details before installing them.
