Enterprise chat application owned by Salesforce Slack has announced the launch of a new AI-powered app called “ChatGPT app for Slack.” It which will provide instant conversation summaries, research tools, and writing assistance directly within the application. It will allow millions of businesses to work more productively.
According to the company, this new app combines knowledge found in Slack with the intelligence of ChatGPT, empowering customers with the information they need to move work forward faster.
The ChatGPT app for Slack, which is currently in beta, offers a conversational interface powered by OpenAI’s large language models to get instant conversation summaries to stay informed, research tools to learn about any topic, and writing assistance to quickly draft messages.
With the ChatGPT app for Slack, customers can: Get up to speed faster on channels or threads, instantly find answers on any project or topic, and Draft messages in seconds to communicate with customers and teams. Slack users will be able to harness the writing capabilities ChatGPT has become known for to access AI assistance to draft messages in seconds.
Users will also be able to get caught up with their latest conversations at the click of a button with an AI-generated custom summary. The summaries will be available for both channels and threads, to stay informed on the go.
Lastly, the app will feature an in-app research portal. On Slack, users will be able to access ChatGPT’s research capabilities to facilitate crafting well-informed messages without having to leave the app or use a search engine.
