Skype Forces New Users To Solve Complex Captcha

January 4, 2022

New users have difficulty signing in to Microsoft Skype after being asked ten times to solve a complex puzzle before they could sign in. After downloading Skype to their device, users are asked to either sign in with an existing Microsoft account or sign up.

For those who chose to sign up for a new Microsoft account through the Skype application, Skype presents a complicated captcha that has left many frustrated.

The captcha in question requires the user to keep rotating through an image with a sphere containing arrows pointed in random directions until there are “exactly 2 arrows” left pointing directly upwards.

However, it is surprising that signing up for a Microsoft Account directly through Microsoft’s website comes with a much simpler captcha.

One Reddit user commented: ‘I had the same problem a few weeks ago and almost threw my computer out the window in frustration.”
