Slack Returns Online After Outage Takes Site Offline

February 23, 2022

Slack has confirmed it is fixing the problem that has rendered its website inaccessible to many users around the world.

“We continue to see signs of improvement and are monitoring the situation. If you’re still encountering any trouble, please reload Slack or clear the app cache,” said Slack.

The outage made it more difficult for users to send and receive messages and access the platform in the first place. Complaints on social media suggested that users trying to access work-related chatrooms faced long loading times and an inability to view threads.

The issue began at around 6am PT/9am ET/ 2pm GMT on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

After several complaints, Slack notified its customers of the outage via the status page.

“Some customers are unable to load Slack. We’re still actively investigating this issue, but we don’t have any new information to share at this time. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we have an update,” explained Slack explained.
