SpaceX Delivers 3rd Batch Of Starlink Satellites Flying Falcon Rocket For 9th Time

March 14, 2021

Thanks to its unique rocket reuse, Starlink missions are becoming increasingly frequent as SpaceX, an American space services company, pushes to expand the availability of its Starlink broadband Internet service worldwide.

Within two weeks, SpaceX sent a total of 180 additional astronauts into orbit. SpaceX also put another 60 Starlink satellites into orbit. SpaceX’s most recent launch set a record for its Falcon 9 rocket reuse program, as it was the ninth flight and ninth landing for these special first-stage boosters.

Since SpaceX set its previous reuse record in January with the same refurbished first stage that flew in December, SpaceX has not only proven that it can continue to fly the boosters sometimes more, but also that it can quickly turn them around for its next mission because speed and volume have a significant impact on launch costs.

From now on, SpaceX is expected to launch at roughly the same pace for a while, with two more Starlink launches planned by March.
