Spencer addresses Xbox leak

Microsoft’s Xbox chief Phil Spencer has reassured fans that their plans for the future are still in place, despite a massive leak.

The leak which was exposed as part of the FTC v. Microsoft case, unveiled plans for a disc-less Series X redesign, a groundbreaking 2028 Xbox designed to offer “cloud hybrid games,” the emergence of a new Xbox controller, undisclosed Bethesda games, and discussions concerning the potential acquisition of Nintendo.

Spencer admits that some of the leaked documents are over a year old, he says that Microsoft’s plans have evolved since then. He also emphasizes that the company takes the confidentiality of its plans and its partners’ information very seriously, and that they are learning from the leak and will be better going forward.

Spencer says that there is still “so much more to be excited about,” and that Microsoft will share their real plans with players when they are ready. In the meantime, he encourages fans to stay focused on the upcoming launch of Forza Motorsport and the continued success of Starfield.
