T-Mobile Has Found Unauthorized Access To Data

T-Mobile has confirmed that a data breach has occurred, and while the company has not yet found any customer information compromised by the attack, it was confident that the entry point through which the data was accessed has been closed.

The latest development comes just hours after the mobile operator announced it was investigating a data leak reported by U.S. digital media company Vice.

Vice had previously reported that a hacker had told the media outlet that they had obtained data from T-Mobile servers on more than 100 million people.

According to the report, the data included information such as social security numbers, telephone numbers, names, addresses and driving license information.

Giving a new update on the data breach, the company said: “We are conducting an extensive analysis alongside digital forensic experts to understand the validity of these claims, and we are coordinating with law enforcement.”
