Musk threatens to sue Anti-Defamation League over alleged ad boycott

Elon Musk has threatened to sue the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) over its alleged role in inciting advertiser boycotts that have cost X (formerly known as Twitter) billions of dollars.

Musk claims that the ADL has been falsely accusing Twitter of spreading hate speech and that these accusations have led advertisers to pull their money from the platform. He estimates that the ADL’s activism has been responsible for at least $4 billion in lost ad revenue.

Musk also warns that if the ADL continues its accusations, he will file a defamation lawsuit that could potentially cost the ADL $22 billion. He even humorously hinted at renaming the Anti-Defamation League if they lose the lawsuit.

The ADL has denied Musk’s allegations, saying that it is simply trying to hold Twitter accountable for its role in the spread of hate speech. The organization has also said that it is not calling for an advertiser boycott of X.
