Samsung launches generative AI for smartphones

Samsung Electronics has unveiled a new generative AI model called Samsung Gauss, which could be among the first generative AI products to reach consumers in smartphones next year.

Samsung Gauss has a generative language model that can help compose emails, translate content, and enhance the consumer experience by enabling smarter device control.

Named after the legendary mathematician Carl Friedrich Gauss, the AI model boasts of features that can allow software developers write code quickly and generate or edit images.

Samsung’s Vice President of the mobile business, Daniel Araujo projected next year as the likely debut for generative AI technology.
