How Cow Dung Is Helping A Farm Power Crypto Mining

At Philip Hughes Farm in Denbighshire, Hughes runs a cryptocurrency farm that uses powerful renewable-energy computers known as “cow muck” to create new cryptocurrencies.

This is achieved through a process called anaerobic digestion, in which a large six-cylinder engine operates at 500 rpm, converting methane produced by cow dung decomposition into electricity.

While the farm is currently promoting Ethereum, they are also working on complex calculations to verify transactions and, in return, ensure that they are rewarded with the new cryptocurrency.
