Apple Likely to Face DOJ Antitrust Suit Following Probe

The U.S. Justice Department has accelerated its two-year-old antitrust investigation against Apple in recent months, increasing the chances of a formal lawsuit against the tech giant, the Information reported Monday.

Lawyers representing the Justice Department have been asking Apple, its customers and competitors questions about how the company maintains its rigid control over the iPhone.

Both the Justice Department and Apple did not respond to requests for comment.
