Bard becomes programming assistant for software development

Google’s AI chatbot, Bard, can now serve as a programming aid for software development and programming activities.

To assist professionals with their programming and software development jobs, Bard can now produce code, debug it, and explain code snippets. The capabilities of the chatbot will be available in over 20 programming languages, including Go, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, and Typescript.

It will be possible for users to easily transfer Python code to Google Colab. Furthermore, Bard has the capability to aid users in creating functions for Google Sheets. Although Bard can provide assistance with programming problems, the company advises users to verify its responses and meticulously inspect and evaluate the code for any issues, defects, or susceptibilities before relying on it.

Google claims that Bard has the capacity to debug code, including the code that it generates. The chatbot’s proficiency in clarifying code snippets will be advantageous for beginners or individuals who require supplementary assistance to comprehend a particular section of code’s outcome.

Bard’s programming language capabilities include C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, C, C#, R, Swift, Kotlin, PHP, HTML, CSS, SQL, Bash, Perl, Ruby, Lua, and Rust. The latest updates to Bard will be beneficial for professionals looking for additional support in their programming and software development tasks.
