The United States Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security System announced the launch of the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC), a partnership between the agency and other private and public sector participants in an attempt to crack down on ransomware attacks on critical infrastructure in the United States.

While it plans to expand its reach by adding more private and SLTT partners, the first industry partners already part of the JCDC include Microsoft, Google Cloud, Amazon Web Services and AT&T.

Other partners include Crowdstrike, FireEye Mandiant, Lumen, Palo Alto Networks and Verizon.

Government partners include the Department of Defense, the National Security Agency, the Department of Justice, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the U.S. Cyber Command, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.
