Cloudflare Launches New Security Replacement For CAPTCHA

Cloudflare, an American web infrastructure and website security company, recently announced plans to replace the “madness” of CAPTCHAs with a new way to prove that web users are human.

This is done by touching or viewing a device using a system called a “Cryptographic Attestation of Personhood,” a hardware verification device.

According to one critic, Cloudflare’s system may be a worse solution.

Users can test Cloudflare’s new tool on the company’s site.

While the new idea to be rolled out is fast, it also has accessibility benefits, as visually impaired people may not be able to complete CAPTCHAs.
