Demand for AI jobs quadruples

The demand for artificial intelligence (AI) jobs has quadrupled since the beginning of this year, according to data from Indeed. This has led to a surge in salaries for AI professionals, with some companies offering six-figure salaries for entry-level positions.

The growth in demand for AI jobs is being driven by the increasing adoption of AI technologies by businesses across all industries. AI is being used to automate tasks, improve decision-making, and develop new products and services.

The lack of experienced AI professionals to fill the demand for these roles has created a skills shortage in the AI industry.

This has led to companies offering competitive salaries in order to attract and retain skilled workers. For example, Netflix made headlines for offering up to $900,000 for an AI-focused product manager role. Other companies that are offering high salaries for AI jobs include Amazon, Capital One, Meta, and Nvidia.

The growth of AI jobs is creating new opportunities for early-to-mid career workers who are familiar with AI technologies. Meta, for instance, is seeking recent college grads for a generative AI research engineer role with an annual salary of up to $137,000. And chip giant Nvidia is offering an entry-level job opening for a generative AI research scientist with a salary between $156,000 and $247,250.
