Google has announced a $20 million investment in cybersecurity clinics at colleges throughout the United States, in conjunction with the Consortium of Cybersecurity Clinics.

Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with local organizations and businesses to strengthen their cybersecurity posture through the Cybersecurity Clinics, which are available in collaboration between a university and a local organization or business. Students also get to learn fundamental cybersecurity skills and receive practical experience in the sector.

The funding from Google will be used to support the creation and expansion of cybersecurity clinics at 20 universities across the United States. The funding will also be used to provide scholarships for students to earn Google’s Cybersecurity Certificate.

Google CEO Sundar Pichai said that the investment is part of the company’s commitment to “help people find good-paying jobs in technology” and “ensure that as a nation, we have a strong cybersecurity workforce.”
