IKEA offering home improvement services virtually

IKEA is giving individualized interior design guidance via video chats and 3D renderings as part of its strategic objective to grab the interest and devotion of Gen Z clients. Furthermore, it is training its contact center employees to become skilled interior design advisors.

It was launched in the United Kingdom and the United States in April and allows users to pay £25 for a 45-minute video conversation with an interior design advisor. These specialists provide vital advice on furniture selection, ideal layout, and color schemes during the session, assuring consumers create the best environment in their homes. IKEA provides a £125 package that includes complete workspace design consultations, a blueprint, and 3D visualizations.

IKEA also adopted artificial intelligence (AI) with its company’s AI bot, named Billie, to expedite client enquiries. It has reportedly addressed 47% of consumer queries received by contact centers, letting human counselors to focus on more complicated duties.
