Meta to launch AI-powered chatbots with diverse personas

According to the Financial Times, Meta is preparing to debut AI-powered chatbots with individual characters. The chatbots are intended to engage users in human-like discussions, with identities such as a chill surfer and Abraham Lincoln.

Chatbots, according to Meta, are a significant tool for platform navigation and content suggestions. It strives to provide consumers with an enjoyable experience when engaging with these amusing chatbots. However, this trend raises privacy issues because chatbots may collect a large amount of user data in order to better targeted content and adverts. The prospect of data collection may raise some concerns among privacy-conscious consumers.

Other firms, such as Snapchat, have investigated AI-powered chatbots. Snapchat introduced “My AI,” an AI chatbot powered by OpenAI’s GPT technology that enables users to engage in engaging discussions and get generative Snaps.

Mark Zuckerberg outlined Meta’s aspirations for AI-powered products during a recent earnings conference, intending to work as helpers, trainers, and facilitators of user interactions with companies and artists. More information about Meta’s AI plan is scheduled to be revealed during the Connect developer event in September.
