Meta unveils AI tools for Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram

Meta has unveiled AI tools similar to ChatGPT for Messenger and WhatsApp exclusively to its employees.

The tools include chatbots with several identities, an Instagram functionality for editing photographs with text instructions, and emoji sticker creation for messaging services. During the meeting, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated that recent advances in generative AI had enabled the technology to be integrated into all of Meta’s products.

Meta revealed that it is testing AI-powered capabilities with a small number of marketers, including the generation of picture backdrops and variants of written material for ad campaigns. Due to historical constraints in hardware and software capacity, Meta says it has also been reorganizing its AI divisions and investing in infrastructure enhancements.

Along with the AI capabilities, Meta launched Metamate, a productivity assistant designed to aid employees by answering queries and completing tasks using data from internal business systems.
